Great Wall of China Trek
1st January 2019 - 7th May 2020
Take on the challenge of a lifetime, tick something off your bucket list and help raise vital funds for Children’s Heart Surgery Fund!
Our Great Wall of China Trek is a fantastic challenge hiking for five days along this magnificent man-made structure. The challenge takes you over watch towers and mountains, through historic battlement stations and breathtaking backdrops that are well off the tourist trail.
Exclusive to this trek, you will ‘lend a hand’ repairing a section of the Wall that is currently being reconstructed. You will place your brick in this newly restored section, ensuring your own place in the Great Wall of China history and memories to cherish for a lifetime.
The trekking on this challenge is hard, due to a number of steps the route follows. Another highlight of this challenge is to conquer the 1,000 steps up to the wall at Mutianyu – culminating with the ascent of the ‘Heavenly Ladder’.
Glowing from your amazing success of completing the trek, you’ll have some free time to explore Beijing’s famous sites such as the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square before celebrating our achievement at dinner.
