Hooray, it’s Friday! We’re excited to tell you about another fantastic crop of fundraisers who’ve recently supported Children’s Heart Surgery Fund. Read on to find out more about what they’ve been up to…
Beverley 10k – Ruth Cardy
Ruth recently ran the Beverley 10k in support of Children’s Heart Surgery Fund. Ruth said:
“Running the 10k was certainly a challenge, but it was all worth it for a cuddle with my niece Emmeline at the end, and the knowledge that by completing the race I had raised over £500 for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund so other families like mine would be supported during difficult times.”
Well done and thank you Ruth!
Leeds 10k – Ryan & Kieran
Walker Morris staff members Ryan and Kieran ran the Leeds 10k as part of Walker Morris’ on-going fundraising to support Children’s Heart Surgery Fund. Ryan said:
“It does always make the run easier when you are running for a truly inspirational cause. Although the last 3 miles… we’ve definitely had easier afternoons!! We’d just like to say a massive thank you to all those that have sponsored us so far and we hope to be able to continue to raise as much money as possible for CHSF over the next 6 months.”
Congrats to both of you for completeing the race – we look forward to seeing what you do next!
Lisa Moore & Friends
Lisa and her pals got together to take part in the Knaresborough Bed Race last weekend. She said:
“Seven of us took part in the annual Knaresborough Bed race, which involved parading through the streets in fancy dress and then running around Knaresborough as fast as we could, up a crazily steep hill and across a river, all the while pushing a homemade bed with a small person on it! A very different challenge but great fun and we raised over £1,000 for the charity as well as awareness.”
Well done and thanks to Lisa and friends – looks like you had a blast!
Thank you to everyone mentioned this week – we can only do what we do #BecauseOfYou! If you’d like to be featured here, please do get in touch at email@example.com – we can’t wait to hear from you!
