[OUT OF STOCK] “My Heart Surgery Support Pack” Book

A guidebook for young people aged 13-18 coming in for heart surgery at the Leeds General Infirmary.

A 24-page information and activity book for teens and young people. The book provides a realistic introduction to hospital procedures. It describes what congenital heart disease patients can expect before, during and after surgery. This project is designed to support mental health by gently introducing young people to their forthcoming heart surgery.

We are very grateful to the many young people who have helped inspire, create and contribute to this book. Either while they were on the ward, in an outpatient appointment or getting in touch after their surgery. Thanks especially to the group of young people who attended our forum day where we got some amazing feedback, stories and top tips from everyone.
