With more businesses than ever before taking part in Wear Red Day 2022, we would like to see this support from businesses continue across the year, with more joining Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF) as Corporate Partners.

So, we would like to tell you more about the many benefits of partnering with us.

CHSF supports babies, children and adults across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire with congenital heart disease who are treated at the specialist Heart Unit within Leeds General Infirmary. We are completely self-funded, award winning, regional charity set up in 1988 to support the Heart Unit, due to a lack of funding within the field of congenital heart disease.

In addition to supporting the Heart Unit by providing revolutionary equipment and funding clinical posts and research, we deliver a programme of practical and financial support for children and their families each year.

There are lots of Heart Warrior stories on our website, click here to read about George’s heart journey so far and how he and his family have been supported by CHSF.

We have an exciting calendar of events with exclusive access to event places

We offer a wide range of fun and exciting activities and events, with a calendar of ideas for the year suitable for at home or in the office. We will work with you to develop your own ideas too. We can provide merchandise including t-shirts, water bottles, pin badges etc. Our Marketing Team will design posts to promote your event on social media or posters for your office with a unique QR code for donations.

Events include fitness challenges, exclusive access to events including marathons, group challenges like the Yorkshire Three Peaks or maybe a team fancy taking to the sky for Sky Dive or abseil? Or new to our events calendar for 2022, Total Warrior for an extra muddy challenge! Lots of our corporate partners host office events, like a fundraising quiz, cake sale, office sweepstake or raffles. These are not only great fun, but a great way to bring your Team together.

Sophie Morley, Partner at Clarion and Head of the Charity Committee says:

“The work that CHSF does with children and their families is remarkable and has directly affected some of our friends and family.  The stories the CHSF team told really moved us all and inspired us to do what we can to help.”

“Clarion have been delighted to support the charity and have had some really successful fundraisers – no easy task in a pandemic! The generosity of our employees with not only their money, but also their time and enthusiasm has been outstanding. As we go back into the office, we are looking forward to some face-to-face events to help us continue to support this brilliant charity.”

John Bailes of Bailoran Solicitors said:

“Bailoran Solicitors have been working alongside the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF) for a number of years now and are proud to be associated with them as a Corporate Partner and nominated charity.

The fantastic work they do to benefit the region’s children and families is truly inspiring. We genuinely feel part of the extended CHSF team, and their fundraising and engagement is always done in a friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner. No matter how large or small the fundraising idea, you know that every contribution is truly appreciated. In current times being able to be part of events and fundraising also means a lot to the office.

CHSF make a tangible and valuable difference to people’s lives and we can’t recommend working with their amazing team enough.”

Marketing your Business

Shine a light on your business values. The right partnership can provide brand positioning gains for your business, giving you a competitive advantage.

Sarah Cookson, Director and Solicitor at Switalskis said:

“We have very fortunately had some client that have come to us because of our partnership with CHSF.”

Partnerships offer some marketing benefits to your business, including social media and digital marketing. Equally, if you promote the partnership to your audience, you will be attracting more customers who share your business values, and you will enjoy repeat custom and greater loyalty for your business.

Volunteering Opportunities

Through partnerships, we can offer corporate volunteering opportunities. Not only do these give employees a way to give back and help the charity but provide insight into how their fundraising efforts are supporting CHSF. Including the Superhero Walk in the summer or the Children’s Christmas Party, both rely on volunteers to make the events a success and a great opportunity for corporate supporters to meet the families that they are supporting.

Networking Opportunities

In Summer 2021, we added a new benefit for our corporate supporters in the form of the CHSF Networking Events, an opportunity to meet like-minded businesses, make connections and share ideas. At each event, we invite a guest speaker to tell attendees about the difference that their support makes to CHSF. These have included medical professionals, Heart Families, and members of the CHSF Team.
