Join CHSF for the formidable trek up Yorkshire’s finest three peaks, Pen-y-ghent (2,227 ft), Whernside (2,415 ft) and Ingleborough (2,372 ft).
The 2025 Children’s Heart Surgery Fund Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge will be delivered in partnership with Jonathan Kattenberg, from Walking With My Bear who is an accredited and specialist mountain leader.
Jonathan will use his unique experiences of conquering mountains, such as Kilimanjaro whilst training for the South Pole world record to guide you through this challenge. Alongside him will be his team of expert mountain leaders with particular skill set in motivation, mind-set and resilience to guide you through every step.
We will also have options for participants to opt for one or two peaks.

What you’ll get from us: “Cheers & Smiles, Refreshments on Route, Medal, Celebration Drink!”
Starting bright and early at Horton Village Hall we will greet you with a welcome hot drink and snack to get you set up for the challenging and rewarding day ahead. We know you and your colleagues will have a brilliant day in the stunning Yorkshire countryside taking in the views along your way.

With every step you’ll be helping Children’s Heart Surgery Fund to keep caring for babies and children born with heart problems in our region.
Around 1 in 125 babies are born with congenital heart disease and thanks to your donations we are able to provide life-saving medical equipment for the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit and the network of 19 regional hospitals covering Yorkshire, The Humber, North East Lincolnshire and North Derbyshire.
We also provide a valuable holistic family support service, parent accommodation at the hospital and essential ward resources.
Here’s what one of our corporate partners said about the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge and how it benefited their team of colleagues:
“It was an amazing day on Saturday, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. We all completed the challenge too! Even though there were a couple of people who were a way behind the core group, they still persevered and finished the challenge.
We are all over the moon that we have helped to make such a difference to the children and families CHSF looks after, my colleagues who took on the challenge said it makes the blisters and sore feet worthwhile knowing we have helped to make a difference!
Thank you for the t-shirts, we wore them with pride on the day! Thank you for your amazing cooperation throughout as well!”
