Meet us for a summer’s picnic with Katie Bear and all her friends.

Pack up your picnic baskets and grab your favourite teddy bear – Katie Bear is inviting you and your family for a fun-filled day at the park!

Bring your Katie Bear or your most-loved cuddly companion and enjoy a day of outdoor fun and special moments with other heart warriors and CHSF families.

On the day there will be games, activities, and plenty of opportunities to make wonderful memories together.

Who can attend the Teddy Bear’s Picnic?

This event is open to all CHSF families, supporters and friends!

Do I need to register in advance?

Yes, please let us know you’re coming so we can plan activities accordingly. Please sign up using the form below.

Is there an entry fee?

The event is free! However, donations to CHSF are always appreciated and help us continue supporting patients with CHD and their families. There will be a car park charge – parking costs £2.50 for a 4-hour stay.

What should we bring on the day?

Your Katie Bear, or favourite cuddly toy 🧸
A picnic with your favourite snacks and drinks 🥪🥤
A blanket/chairs to sit on 🌿
Suncream, hats, or raincoats – depending on the weather! ☀️🌦️

What activities will be available on the day?

These will be announced closer to the time!

If you would like to visit Temple Newsam House or Home Farm, ticket information can be found here. Temple Newsam gardens are free to explore.

Will food or drinks be provided?

We encourage families to bring their own picnics, but there will be some light refreshments and hot and cold food available to purchase. There is also a tea room on site that you can visit.

Is the event suitable for all ages?

Yes! The picnic is designed to be a family-friendly event with activities for toddlers, young children, and even older siblings.

What happens if it rains?

If the weather isn’t on our side, we will update families as soon as possible with an alternative plan. Keep an eye on our social media or emails for updates!

Is parking available?

Yes but there is a car park charge to be paid on arrival. Parking costs £2.50 for a 4-hour stay. Other travel options will be shared closer to the event.
