Care for patients living with congenital heart disease treatment is often long-term, involving multiple hospital procedures and visits. This is a daunting prospect for a child and can be stressful for parents and other family members.
One of our main aims is to support heart families by providing enjoyable experiences and events throughout the year.

EVENTS YOU COULD SPONSOR
This year, we have organised four family events, where we intend to see between 100-200 children attend each event.

Easter Family Day
April
A social family event to meet CHSF’s Family Support and Fundraising Team and have opportunities to meet other heart patients and families from across the region.
Superhero Walk
September
Superhero Walk is an annual fundraiser and family fun day. We encourage heart warriors and families to dress as their favourite superheroes and get sponsored to walk the 1km route!
Halloween event
October
A chance for heart warrior families to build a support network with families going through similar experiences whilst allowing children to spend time with their peers in a fun environment.
Christmas Party
December
A chance to celebrate our heart warriors and their families by providing a magical experience at what can be a hard time of the year to provide relief and joy to families.
As a thank you for sponsoring an event, we will feature your business on our ‘Heart Tree’ outside the children’s cardiac ward at Leeds Children’s Hospital.
