In 2025 we enjoyed a new connection with the team at Howden in Harrogate who were the winners of our first Children’s Heart Surgery Fund Golf Day.

Adam Pearce, Commercial Account Executive at Howden, said:

“Myself and Charlie Torrance had the privilege of representing Howden at the ‘Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF) Golf Event’ at Pannal Golf Club.

“We had the pleasure of playing alongside Ben Buckley from Nicholls Tyreman and Daniel Rice from iamproperty. And to top it all off… We only went and won it.

“The day was perfectly organised by Pannal and CHSF – starting with a warm welcome drink, a bacon butty and 18 holes with 18 teams. Finishing with a delicious 2-course meal, prizes, and an inspiring message from the charity.

“It was fantastic to be part of such a meaningful cause for their very first golf event. Not even the weather could dampen spirits – a brilliant day all round!”

Our friends at Howden specialise in domestic and commercial insurance policies and have offered even more support for Children’s Heart Surgery Fund through a new referral system. For anyone who sets up a new policy, which could be for car, home or business, Howden will donate £50 to Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.

Simply state the code ‘CHSF50’ when you take out your policy and your donation will help us to keep caring for babies and children born in our region with heart problems. This offer is uncapped so spread the word and let your friends and family know!

If you are a keen golfer and would like to challenge Adam and his team to their winning title our 2026 Corporate Golf Day event is booked for Friday 18th September at Otley Golf Club.

We’d love to see you there, please email corporate@chsf.org.uk for more info.
