Landscape architects play an important role in creating outdoor spaces that promote the health and wellbeing of children. We have the ability to design outdoor environments that inspire children to be active, explore nature and engage with their peers.
As a landscape architect, I’d like to make a difference, to make a positive impact on the world. Becoming an ambassador for Children’s Heart Surgery Fund allows me to channel that energy and make a tangible difference in the lives of others.
Saira led the team who transformed Attock Park community garden in Bradford Moor. You can read more about the project here.
As an ambassador for CHSF, I have a platform to raise awareness about the impact of congenital heart disease on children and families, and to encourage others to get involved in supporting the charity. I feel a deep connection to the cause and would like to support children and their families when they are in need.
I’d like to raise awareness about the impact of congnital heart disease on families, using my personal and professional networks to spread the word about the charity’s mission and programmes, and encourage others to get involved in supporting the cause.
I want to support the team to connect with communities, and reach families affected by congenital heart disease in our area. I’d like to help partner with local community organisations or religious institutions to host events or provide resources for families affected by heart disease. I’d like to use the platform to advocate for policies and programs that support families affected by congenital heart disease, and to raise awareness about the need for increased research and support for funding in this area.
By taking these steps, I hope I can become an effective ambassador for CHSF and make a positive impact on the lives of families affected by congenital heart disease. Through first-hand experience of CHSF’s work, I will build relationships with the team and volunteers. I want to be actively involved with the charity, help with fundraising events and raise awareness through its campaigns.
