FAQs
What is a Paint & Sip?
It’s a creative social session where our youth and adult patients get to paint guided artwork while sipping on fun, alcohol-free mocktails. No art experience needed – just come to have fun!
Who is the event for?
This event is designed for people aged 13 + who are living with congenital heart disease (CHD). It’s a chance to have fun, connect with others who “get it” and enjoy a relaxed, non-medical setting.
Will alcohol be served at the event?
Absolutely not. This is a completely alcohol-free event. We’ll be serving a variety of mocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.
Do I need to bring any art supplies?
Nope! All materials – including canvas, paints, brushes, and aprons – will be provided.
Can parents come too?
Yes, parents are welcome to attend. However, we encourage them to relax in our “Parent Corner” so that our teens and young people can socialise more freely with their peers.
Is there parking on site?
There is parking on site but there is a limited amount so please allow time to either find parking on surrounding streets or park at the closest car park: White Rose House Private Car Park.
What if I don't know anyone else going?
That’s totally okay! This event is designed to help you make new friends in a laid-back, supportive environment. You won’t be the only one coming solo.
What will we be painting?
A fun, beginner-friendly painting guided by an instructor. Think bold colors, simple shapes and plenty of room for creativity!
What should I wear?
Wear something comfortable – we’ll provide aprons, but painting can get a little messy. Don’t wear your favorite outfit just in case!
How long will the event last?
The event will run for approximately 2 hours including painting time, mocktail breaks and social time.
Is there a cost to attend?
No, the event is free but registration is required.
Do I need to register in advance?
Yes, we ask that all attendees register ahead of time so we can prepare enough materials and mocktails for everyone.
