Challenge yourself to reach the UK’s highest peak to raise funds for CHSF!

If you’re up for a challenge then walking to the top of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis (Beinn Nibheis), is a pretty good one to undertake.

Ben Nevis, standing at 1345m (4,413ft), is on the west coast of Scotland, right in the heart of the Highlands.

The views from the summit of ‘Big Ben’ are spectacular – hundreds of other summits are visible from the top, and you can see right over to the Atlantic and the western isles.

Date: Saturday 16th September 2023
Distance: Approx. 11 miles (17.7km)
Duration: Most groups complete this walk in 8-10 hours
Cost: Free
Fundraising pledge: £150

This is an open event (not just CHSF supporters) so you’ll be walking on the day with friendly fellow challengers – some will be fundraising, others just completing the challenge to push themselves, get fit, or tick something of a bucket list. You will also walk alongside an experienced guide from Large Outdoors.

For more info, details about the challenge and FAQs please see the Large Outdoors website. Please note there is a compulsory kit list for this event. You will need to ensure you provide all the equipment listed to take part on the day.

“If you have any questions about taking part in this event, please get in touch!”
