Family Support Worker (Part Time)
Do you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of others?
We are seeking a committed individual to join our current senior Family Support Worker to deliver first-class support to families of children living with congenital heart disease.
This part-time role will add value and assistance to our current service and ensure we can meet the needs of all families and their children treated in the Congenital heart unit at Leeds Children’s hospital.
You will play a vital role in the family’s hospital journey by offering support during times of high stress, promoting CHSF’s practical support package, as well as providing a listening ear while assisting the cardiac nurse specialists in delivering information and support.
To be considered for this role, you should have a proven track record in a people/family-facing role, demonstrate an understanding of how to promote positive outcomes for families and have excellent communication skills.
Family support experience will be an advantage. We seek individuals who can demonstrate an empathic and non-judgmental approach to others, and act as a trusting advocate for the families you build and maintain positive relations.
Hours of work: 22.50 ( Days to be agreed)
Salary: £25,000 FTE
