From the ashes comes something very sweet from the Dart Family

£5K to CHSF from Birstall Bee Man

A huge thank you to Birstall Bee Man Andrew and the Dart family for their amazing £5,000 donation to CHSF!

Following a devastating fire that destroyed land where some of their beehives were kept, the local community came together to support the family, raising more than £14,000 through a GoFundMe appeal!

After covering the costs of rebuilding, the Dart family very generously donated some of the remaining funds to several good causes, including Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.

The family have been long-time supporters of CHSF since Andrew’s grandson, Arthur, underwent open heart surgery eight years ago.

Andrew and Arthur popped along to our office in Leeds to hand over their donation, as well as a gift of delicious honey from the very bees whose home was damaged.

Thank you to the Dart family and everyone who donated. We couldn’t BEE anymore grateful – this donation will do so much for families living with CHD in our region!

Got a fundraising idea?

Everything we do at CHSF is only possible thanks to people like you. Check out how you can support our vital work.
