How we can help while you’re staying on the children’s heart ward
Ward L51 is the children’s heart ward at Leeds Children’s Hospital. This is located within the the Leeds General Infirmary and is where you will meet our Family Support team.

Weekly Wellbeing Trolley
The CHSF Wellbeing Trolley is stocked full of snacks, refreshments and activities. Everything on the trolley is free of charge and is run by our amazing staff and volunteers
Katie Bear teddy and medal
CHSF give a Katie Bear teddy, medal and certificate to every child who has open heart surgery in Leeds
Accommodation for Parents
Our charity funds rooms within the hospital so that parents are able to be close by during their child’s stay
Request Support
We can offer a range of practical, wellbeing, financial and sign-posting support to our families.
Combatting stress on the Ward with L51 Play Team
The play team on the children’s heart ward at Leeds Children’s Hospital (L51) have some fantastic resources to help reduce anxiety on the ward for everybody.
