Supporting CHSF
Supporting Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF) is a fantastic way for nursery and school children of all ages to engage with their community and to make a real difference, whilst also having fun.
Whether you select CHSF as your Charity of the Year, hold your own fundraising event or take part in one of ours, we’ve got plenty of ideas and resources to help your school get involved!
CHSF can also support you with school assemblies as well as materials to help you promote the great work that you are doing. We would also love to do a cheque presentation to celebrate your fundraising and can even offer you a visit from our charity mascot, Katie Bear!

Fundraising is also a fantastic way to raise your school’s profile within the local community, showing your commitment to helping others while creating something positive together. Above all, it’s an opportunity for pupils to have fun while doing something truly meaningful – learning that even small actions can make a big impact.

Help pupils develop empathy and compassion by learning about congenital heart disease and the challenges faced by children and families living with heart conditions.

Congenital heart disease is the most common birth defect worldwide, meaning there’s a strong chance someone in your school community is affected. Your fundraising shows they are seen, supported and not alone.

Every pound you raise helps CHSF support children, young people and families cared for by the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit – improving their experiences when they need it most.
