“There’s a chance he won’t make it.” That’s what Harry’s parents were told before he was born.
Diagnosed with Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA), Harry underwent an eight-hour operation at just one week old. Now aged 24, he’s giving back to the charity that helped save his life.
To raise funds for Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, Harry set himself an incredible challenge – run 5km every single day for an entire year!
“Snow, hail, rain… so much rain” Harry says.
But whatever the weather, he kept going – clocking up an astonishing 1,825km over 365 consecutive days.
He did all this to raise vital funds for CHSF but also show children and adults living with heart conditions what’s possible.
“Just because you’re born different, it doesn’t stop you doing incredible things!”
Harry raised an amazing £1,275 and continues to take on epic running challenges, inspiring others affected by heart conditions to believe in what they can achieve.
Thank you, Harry, for going the distance for CHSF!
